A Start from the Heart
Founded in 1982 by Jerry and Suzanne Green, with her sister Nancy Davis, Step By Step has been a family mission from the start. Today the legacy lives on as Step By Step is led by the next generation of the Green family.
Step By Step's staff and teachers are dedicated, patient, concerned, loving and professional. Our teachers have been carefully selected and trained to develop and guide the character, talents, and academic achievements of each child.
Jennifer Green - Proprietor & Steward
As daughter of the founders, Ms. Green as been a teacher, parent, and grandparent at Step By Step, where her children attended from birth all the way through junior high. As a witness to the success of the past, she believes in the future of our school and leads the way as we head into our third generation of students.
Danis Wooley - Director
Ms. Wooley has 35 years of experience both in the classroom and as a director in Step By Step's preschool programs. Her children grew up at Step By Step, and today the pitter patter of her grandchildren's feet can be heard in the halls.
RaeNell Thompson - Assistant Director
Ms. Thompson taught elementary school at Tomball ISD before her dedication to Christian education led her to join Step By Step in 1985. Her experience and devotion are a blessing to every child in our school, and her experience as a parent and grandparent at Step BY Step gives her an insight and empathy that are invaluable.
"We are thankful to have five of our children enrolled at Step By Step. We highly value the consistency of Biblical principles taught at church, home and school. Since our children master concepts at different speeds, Step By Step has faithfully tailored our children's class work to assure its mastery before the child is promoted to the next level. Our children are learning respect for authority as well as love and patriotism for our country."
